Strategy 21: Get And Use Testimonials

If you talk about yourself – that’s bragging. If others talk about you – that’s promotion!
If you’re not gathering and using testimonials you’re missing out on a great opportunity for promotion.
Hang the testimonials on the wall, include them in all mail outs, put them into every proposal. Have your satisfied clients do your selling for you!

Don’t use vague, vanilla testimonials. Testimonials need to be direct, to the point and preferably have the full name and if appropriate organisation of the person delivering it.

Have you thought about video or audio testimonials – easy to produce and they’re pretty effective. You can have the video testimonial playing in your reception area – far better that, than Oprah or Dr Phil.
